Babbel GmbH (hereinafter, the "Company"), as the owner of the website (hereinafter, the "Website" or the "Portal"), provides the following legal information:

2. Intellectual and Industrial Property

The Portal, its source code, design, services, digital content, images, videos, distinctive signs, and all other content are fully protected by intellectual and industrial property rights. These rights are owned by the Company or by third parties who have granted the Company a license to use their content. You are prohibited from distributing, copying, reproducing, communicating, disclosing, distributing, commercializing, or using for marketing purposes any of the Portal's content, in whole or in part, without the Company's prior express authorization.

3. Access to the Service

The Company offers language learning services for users of compatible devices. This service may operate under a subscription model with payment made via mobile bill charges where offered through your mobile operator. Once you complete the subscription process, you will have access to the digital content offered by the Company through the Portal in accordance with your plan. The content may be updated periodically at the Company's discretion. Where applicable, subscription charges may be billed through the mobile operator with which the subscriber has a contract, whether postpaid or prepaid.

4. User and Subscriber Status

A User is any person who accesses, navigates, or uses the Portal or the Service with the Subscriber's consent. The User may or may not be the same person as the Subscriber. The Subscriber is the owner of the phone line and number with a valid postpaid or prepaid contract with a mobile operator. The Subscriber may or may not be the same person as the User.

5. Service Compatibility

Check below to see if the content is compatible with your PC or device:

  • Games and Digital Content: Compatible with Mac, PC, tablets, and smartphones using any of the following browsers: Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Edge.
  • Mobile Devices: iOS 12.0 or later, Android 6.0 or later
  • Desktop/Laptop: Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+, Linux (latest distributions)
  • Internet Connection: Minimum 2 Mbps for standard quality, 5 Mbps for HD content
  • Geographic Availability: Singapore
  • Supported Carriers: Singtel

Important: Some digital content is not compatible with Internet Explorer, iPhone versions older than iPhone 6, and Android versions older than 6.0. For the best experience, please ensure your browser and operating system are up to date.

6. Geographic and Carrier Restrictions

Services are offered in Singapore through Singtel. Service availability is determined by IP-based geo-targeting and carrier verification where applicable. Users outside supported regions may not be able to subscribe to premium services. Data charges may apply according to your carrier's data plan.

7. Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy

As a Subscriber, you may have a statutory or contractual period to withdraw from your purchase, depending on applicable law. To exercise this right, you must clearly notify the Company within the applicable period. Once you notify us, the Company will process any refund in line with applicable law and our policies. After any statutory withdrawal period has expired, Customer Service may review specific refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

8. Guarantee of Conformity

The Service is guaranteed to be in compliance with the terms of your subscription. The legal warranty covers service functionality, compatibility, and features as established in this contract. You can exercise this guarantee by contacting our Customer Service department.

9. User and/or Subscriber Responsibilities

You may not use the Service for commercial purposes or any other use not defined in this agreement. You must respect intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties. The Subscriber must be of legal age to contract the Services. The owner of the phone line used for the subscription will always be responsible for payment.

10. Suspension of Accounts

The Company may temporarily suspend the account of any User or Subscriber who violates these terms and conditions. The Company also reserves the right to terminate the contractual relationship for any User's failure to comply with these terms.

11. Company Responsibility

The Company is responsible for providing the Services under the terms outlined above. Liability for unforeseen circumstances and/or force majeure is excluded. The Company will not be liable for any losses or damages you suffer as a result of your failure to comply with the obligations of this agreement.

13. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

Babbel GmbH is registered in Germany (District Court of Berlin Charlottenburg, HRB 110215). For disputes relating to this service offered in Singapore, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

14. Subscription Terms

By joining Babbel where offered through Singtel in Singapore, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to these terms. By subscribing at SGD 10 per week (VAT inclusive), you gain full access to our learning ecosystem. Use the link provided in your message to open the subscription portal, where you can manage your plan and terminate your subscription.

15. Billing and Payments

Where you authorize charges via your mobile operator, the subscription fee of SGD 10 per week (VAT inclusive) may appear on your Singtel mobile bill. Charges renew weekly unless you cancel through the subscription portal (accessed via the link in your message) or as otherwise instructed. You are responsible for all charges incurred for the subscription service.

16. Pricing and Renewal Consistency

The published price for this offer is SGD 10 per week (VAT inclusive). We aim for transparency and consistency: the same rate applies to weekly subscription periods unless we notify you otherwise in line with applicable law. You may review, manage, or end your plan at any time through the subscription portal linked from your message.
